Our paper has been published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.

Our paper entitled "Migration-dependent extrafollicular programming of preplasmablast age-associated B cells drives lupus pathogenesis" has been published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.

In this study, we performed single-cell analyses of B cells from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) as well as from a mouse model of SLE, and identified a previously unrecognized population of pathogenic B cells. We further demonstrated that the migration of B cells to a specific location within lymphoid tissues is required for the generation of these pathogenic B cells. Moreover, inhibiting B-cell migration suppressed the generation of pathogenic B cells, resulting in reduced autoantibody production and amelioration of disease in mouse models. These findings highlight B-cell migration as a promising therapeutic target and suggest a new strategy for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
